Regulations & obligations

Know which regulations apply to you — and check for them every time.

Answer a short profile about where you trade and what you do. Traustis works out which legal obligations apply, shows you plainly whether each one is covered, and applies them to every relevant counterparty check.

How it works

From a few answers to the checks the law expects

  1. Answer your compliance profileWhere you have a presence, whether you buy, sell or both, your industry, your size and whether you are publicly listed — plus a few yes/no questions about what you do, such as government contracting or handling personal data. Questions are in plain language.
  2. See your obligations“My obligations” lists every regulation that applies, why it applies, and whether Traustis covers it today, needs a data source, or is something you handle through your own procedure.
  3. Every case applies themWhen a check is filed, the obligations that apply are added automatically and recorded on the case under “Why these checks”, so you can show months later exactly what was required at the time.

My obligations

An honest status for every obligation

A compliance tool that only shows green is not telling you the truth. Each obligation says exactly where it stands, so a gap is something you can act on rather than discover in an audit.

  • Covered — checked automatically on every relevant case
  • Needs a source — the check exists; connect a data source to run it
  • Not in your plan — available, but not part of your workspace yet
  • Your procedure — an attestation or process you run yourself, tracked here
  • Upcoming — a regulation not yet in force, with its date

Safe by default

Built so the gaps show, not hide

See what your plan covers

One page shows what applies to your profile, what your plan covers, and what it does not — in the regulation’s own words, with what is at stake. Asking for more is one click, and nothing is charged automatically.

Unanswered means stricter

If a profile question has not been answered, Traustis assumes the stricter answer and flags it, rather than quietly applying fewer checks.

Legal requirements stay on

An obligation that applies to you cannot be switched off by a workspace. You can add to it, not remove it.

Upcoming rules on your radar

New regulations are tracked before they take effect — such as the EU Deforestation Regulation, the EU Forced Labour Regulation and the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

Changes are approved

The profile is versioned. When a workspace has two admins, a change needs a second person to approve it, and an annual review prompt keeps it current.

Off is never a pass

Anything that was not checked says “not checked”. It is never shown as passed, and it is never left out of the record.

Decisions you can reproduce

Each case keeps the obligations that applied when it was filed, and the version of every sanctions list that was screened, so a later change never rewrites an old decision.

Check policies

Seventeen check policies, in two families

Checks are grouped into policies you can understand at a glance, and policies into areas of regulation. Your plan sets which regulations and policies you are covered for; each relationship — customer, borrower, vendor, partner — runs against the policies you chose for it, and the legal ones always stay in.

Government compliance

Checks the law expects for the regulations that apply to you.

  • Trade sanctions and export controls
  • Defense and government contracting, including debarment
  • Anti-bribery and anti-money-laundering
  • Healthcare exclusions
  • Forced labour and supply-chain due diligence
  • Data protection, corporate transparency and regulated sectors

Your own standards

Checks your business chooses because they protect you.

  • Business verification against the official register
  • Representative verification — the contact's email uses the company's own domain
  • Your denied and allowed lists
  • Financial standing
  • Reputation and risk signals

Every case shows a Result by policy, so a reviewer can see at a glance which policy raised a concern and which were clear.
