FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Short, straight answers about what Traustis does and how early access works.

What does Traustis do?

Traustis checks the businesses you deal with — suppliers, customers, marketplace sellers, contractors — against policies you define. It gathers evidence from official and commercial sources, produces a grade and a decision, sends borderline cases to a reviewer, and keeps the record of how each decision was made.

Who is it for?

Teams that vet counterparties regularly and need to explain their decisions: procurement, compliance, risk, marketplace trust and safety, and finance teams extending credit.

Does AI decide whether a company passes?

No. AI helps read documents and compare records, and what it reports is checked. Grades and decisions come from your policy; borderline cases go to your reviewers.

What sources do you use?

Government company registries, sanctions and exclusion lists, regulatory and enforcement records where they are published, and news coverage. Which sources apply depends on the check and on the country the counterparty is registered in.

What happens when a check cannot be run?

The case shows it as not covered, it counts against the grade rather than for it, and the case explains what would have answered it. If a subject the policy requires is completely uncovered, the case cannot clear itself. If nothing at all could be checked, there is no grade.

Can we use our existing data subscriptions?

Yes, that is the intent: checks can be routed through data providers you already license, using your own credentials, which are encrypted and never sent to the browser.

Can a name match block a company?

No. A match on name alone sends the case to a person. Only a verified identifier, such as a registration number, can block, and the same rule applies the other way: a name alone is never enough to clear a company either.

Can we keep an approved suppliers list?

Yes. Owners and admins can create allowed lists as well as denied ones, and each policy decides what a match means. A verified counterparty on an allowed list can clear the review stage without waiting for a person. Every check still runs, and a critical finding still stops the case.

Can we have different rules for different counterparties?

Yes. You can set different policies for, for example, suppliers, customers on credit terms and on-site contractors, and choose which applies based on what the counterparty is to you and where it is registered.

Do our counterparties need an account?

No. You can send a counterparty a link to confirm their registered details and upload documents without creating an account.

Is Traustis a consumer reporting agency?

No. Traustis supports business due diligence. It must not be used for decisions about individuals such as employment, housing, insurance or credit eligibility. See our Terms.

How much does it cost?

Pricing will be published before general availability. During early access, terms are agreed individually with each design partner.
